About Tanya
The girl next door, the girl who left everyone spells bound with her stupendous performance in the block buster “Chak De India”. She is bubbly, she is exuberant, she is pretty and she is a treat to everyone’s eyes and mind when she is on screen. She is none other than Tanya Abrol who made her debut in “Chak De India”. Tanya is daughter of Mr.Ramakrishan Abrol and Mrs.Sarita Abrol. She was born and brought up in Punjab. This typical Punjabi yet modern gal was a versatile sportsperson right from her childhood. Be it basketball, judo, table tennis or badminton. She has left nothing unexplored as sports captain in DAV, abohar. But all this doesn’t mean she was only a sports freak, she was well known for beating up guys. The aggressive role she plays in “Chak De India” as “Balbir Kaur” steals the show and adds humor to the story as well. Mother luck bestowed her blessings upon this 21 year old charming lady who the crew was scanning the colleges of Chandigarh for a perfect face to suit the role. The character she performed is not very different from her true self. By nature she is aggressive but when it comes to friends and her beloved family members no one can beat her care and concern for them. She considers “Chak De India” as a milestone in her life. She has moved to Mumbai now and doing some good projects. Recently she has completed her episodes of Palampur Express, a daily soap on Sony Entertainment Television. Along with work she is doing MBA along with diploma in Mass Communications. There is a lot more coming and happening in her life.
